Sam is originally from the Nashville area, growing up in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. He moved to Miami, Florida to work in ministry following his undergraduate program. After moving back to Tennessee, he spent six years working in the construction industry. Then, Sam met his wife, Carlye, and decided it was the perfect time to pursue a career in mental health counseling. He went on to earn his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lipscomb University, and now feels that he has finally found the work he was meant to do.
Through his own journey with mental health, Sam has seen firsthand how transformative counseling can be. Now, he is passionate about offering that same safe and supportive space to his clients. He believes that while it is often hard to see, each of us has the ability to choose growth. His approach to counseling emphasizes curiosity, kindness, and empathy.
Sam lives in Nashville with his wife, Carlye, his dog, Mabel, and his cat, Emmett.
